wp-image-1120341226jpg.jpgI am always excited to get my Ipsy Glam Bag each month. It’s just so fun! New stuff to try, color surprises, sometimes something to try I wouldn’t normally pick out. This month was no different. While I could check out my bag ahead of time on the website, there were two products that I had to wait and see what color I got. I loved both! In fact, I at least liked, if not loved, everything I got this month.

Hikari Cosmetics Cream Pigment Eye Shadow in Latte — First off is the eye shadow I received. This is a great metallic, coppery color. The hints on the Ipsy site say that you can apply this with a brush, your finger (for a smokier look), or a liner brush (for a “gleaming cat eye”). I used a brush and really liked the results. I was impressed with the staying ability also. I bet it would stay all day if you used primer along with it. I have a problem with eye makeup not staying very long at all, so this one really impressed me. Also, it didn’t bother my eyes at all, so if sensitive eyes are a thing for you, give this a try.

Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Blush Brush — This is a wonderfully soft blush brush. The bristles are synthetic, so a great option for a vegan. I was very happy with this brush, and will add it to my others to use in rotation.

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in $12 Latte — Another Trust Fund Beauty nail polish. I’m thrilled! I’ve received many colors of TFB polish, and I’ve developed a love of the brand. It wears really well, even without a top coat, and goes on nicely. This month, the color $12 Latte is a greyish-purplish-brown, as described  by Ipsy. I think it looks like the color of a Hershey bar. I just love it, and will for sure be using it again in the future.

Indie Lee Rosehip Cleanser — So far, I’m pretty happy with this cleanser. It is definitely gentle to my sensitive skin. It cleanses well and rinses easily. I don’t think it smells as good as Ipsy made it out to be, in fact I couldn’t smell any trace of rose at all, but it isn’t horrible. It smells chemically to me, but it isn’t a strong smell. I do think it’s a bonus that it is gentle enough to use as an eye makeup remover. I haven’t used it as such yet though, so I can’t give my opinion on that bit.

NYX Professional Makeup Butter Lipstick in Ripe Berry — Now for my absolute favorite this month. I love this stuff! I really liked the feel of this lipstick as I applied it and shortly after. It feels very moisturizing and creamy. I actually found myself rubbing my lips together like I had just put lip balm on. It isn’t a long-lasting product, but I wouldn’t mind reapplying it throughout the day since it feels so nice on my lips. I also love the color. It’s a beautiful berry color, just like it says. This could very easily become an everyday color for me.

Receiving these glam bags each month is such a fun way for me to show myself self care. I’m not likely to pick up new makeup at the store to try, but this way the money is planned for, and I get a fun surprise also.
